Taking in account the recent
development Covid situations in our country, at Pick and Drop Furniture, we
have taken various measures for the safety of our employees, partners and
customers. As always, our focus is on safe shopping and we have a number of
important safety measures in place that follow the government’s COVID-secure
guidelines and that are designed to keep everyone safe.
We are following the government’s
COVID-secure guidelines as well as our own strict Shop Safe protocols, so you
can visit us and take delivery of your new furniture with complete
confidence.
To guarantee everybody’s safety, we've embraced new
ways of working that maintain high standards of hygiene as well as strict
social distancing requirements. When place
an order with Pick and Drop Furnitures, we want you to feel safe and
comfortable regarding the delivery process, furniture instalment, delivery
personnel and everything in between. That’s why we’ve introduced a wide range
of safe shopping measures.
SAFE DELIVERY
In order to maintain a smooth and safe operation here at Pick and Drop, we
make sure that the temperature checks and use of sanitisers at entry points
into all facilities for employees and visitors have become mandatory. In
addition to this, we are also Covid-testing our
delivery drivers every week so you don’t have to worry about any transmission
of air droplets.
Pick and drop is also providing hand sanitisers, Face shields and 3-PLY
masks (along with PPE kits in case of containment zones) for Delivery Staff and
Carpenters to ensure its safe implementation before entering your premises.
Sanitising is mandatory for everyone while entering any
company premises as mentioned earlier and for our delivery specialists, this
means before and after every delivery. Our vehicle cabs have been fitted with
Perspex dividing screens.
Our warehouses, equipment and vehicles are cleaned
thoroughly every day. Frequent
fumigation of delivery vehicles and the use of disinfectants while loading and
unloading of products from the vehicles is also in effect.
Your order will be brought into the room of your choice,
and in-room furniture assembly is available for many items. If you prefer, we
can also deliver most items just to your doorstep. To help keep everyone safe and healthy, we are
now operating a non-contact delivery service and our delivery specialists are
adhering to strict safety protocols.
Also, please know that these safety protocols are being continually
reviewed in line with government guidance, and we will make any changes
necessary to keep our customers and our employees safe at this difficult time.
SANITISATION
The frequent use of hand sanitisers at all facilities and masks for
employees have been made mandatory as mentioned earlier.
We Covid-test each and every employee on a weekly basis
and take each person’s temperature when they arrive for work each day. Our
sales consultants and delivery specialists are also required to wear
appropriate personal protective equipment and to use hand sanitiser frequently
provided by us.
Also, the deep cleaning and fumigation of all our premises is done
regularly and responsibly to ensure everyone’s safe health. It is very
important for us at Pick and drop to practise regular and thorough cleaning of
all frequently touched surfaces. We also follow a routine for sanitisation of
work stations, laptops and mobiles of our employees.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
While most of the official work has been declared to be done remotely- our
delivery heroes are still hard at work making sure to provide you your dream
home furniture. Maintaining a 2-metre distance amongst employees at all
facilities and delivery is being properly maintained.
Also, for all the essential company service officials, we have
implemented a spread-out seating plan along partial work from home system with no
group gathering or meetings across any facilities being hosted.
For all the loading and unloading, markings on floor at Warehouses are
being followed to maintain social distance in queues.
ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS
The staff at Pick and Drop is also being encouraged to download Aarogya
Setu app to receive guidance and advised to stay at home if they are not
feeling well or experiencing any symptoms such as breathlessness, fever, sore
throat, etc.
To make sure you feel perfectly safe and comfortable in
your sofa while watching the telly or eating at your dining table we go through
intense cleaning and sanitisation of your furniture before delivering it to
you.
We follow a multi-step process
to clean and disinfect your furniture to get it ready and safe to rent for your
living room. They are designed specifically for each kind of furniture and
appliance. Here is a broad view of the process for each:
SOLID WOOD FURNITURE
- Clean
with a non-toxic acetone-based cleaning solution followed by sanding
- Stain
or colour, and polish with a PU based finishing material
- Pack
immediately after cleaning
FURNITURE WITH UPHOLSTERY OR
FABRIC
- Check
thoroughly for damage
- Wash with
soft, treated water using an enzyme-based detergent
- Dry
inside a heated drying chamber at 60-70 degrees for faster drying and to
kills germs*
- Change
fabric and PU foam for furniture with significant damage
- Pack
immediately after cleaning
